Artiste Self-Closing Treat Box

StampTV MIX IT UP MONDAY

STV12MON32 - Candy is dandy!

"So your challenge if you choose to accept it is to create a card, holder, or treat box.  It can have candy as an embellishment, as a gift to give, or as a holder for a card for something yummy!"

So fun and cute, you can almost taste the candy corn inside!

Here is the top of the box closed.  It ingeniously slides down over the sides of the box to form a nice, secure closure.

Here is the top of the box open.  You can open it up more with your hands... but then how would I work the camera?  It simply slides up to reveal the sweet contents inside.
Bottom of the box.  I like to close my boxes this way, the classic cardboard box style.  It will stay closed on its own, but I do add a few dabs of Zip Dry glue for extra security.

The box is on page 55 of the handbook, 3D object.  And its assembly instructions are on pg 33 of the assembly instructions book.

This picture is supposed to profile the box, but to see those darling paper bows on a project, click here!

Here's what the cut will look like before assembly.

Bazzill Basics & Bee Paper Co. cardstock.
Artiste Cartridge.
Onyx Black VersaFine Ink.
Weathered Wood Distress Ink.
CTMH Stamp, Perfect-Fit Halloween
Michael's plaid ribbon.
Other ribbon unknown.
Scotch ATG and Zip Dry Paper Glue.

Thanks for taking a peek at my blog!  I appreciate your comments!
