Flat Stanley Visits Portland

My niece is in the 2nd grade in Munich, Germany.  They are doing the "Flat Stanley Project" and she sent her Flat Stanley to me.  Here's a quick video of our exploits.

A Little Piece of... Vintage!

Kraft & Kreme

We want to see you use only kraft and cream on your creations this week...
Finished card, 6 x 3 1/2".  Made from scraps!

CTMH "Crafted with Love" stamps, and Art Philosophy cart.  Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Inks.  Clear embossing powder.

Craft & Cream cardstocks from Petersen Arne.

Vintage paper from paper pack with missives dating from 1897 - 1902.

Can you tell the date on this letter?  Did the author mean to write 1901, but accidentally wrote 1900, and then tried to correct it?  It is from the early part of the year and we still do make those kinds of mistakes to this day.  Its well over 110 years old no matter the exact date, but so cool that it dates to this month.  Its also from San Francisco, to the then sheriff of Multnomah County here in Portland, OR.  As I'm rooting for the 49ers this Sunday... well, just one more reason to carry out the theme.

Loved that "ink & nib" script and the flowery heading on the stationery, so I just had to use it for this challenge.  As its just a scrap of the original (photocopied to retain the colors and authentic look (The photos make the original litho look a little more reddish than the brown it truly is)) I thought the "piece" phrase was perfect!.

Thanks for taking a peek!
