FCCB Challenge Me Monday - #152 Luck O' the Irish
Tomorrow
are the student-led Parent/Teacher conferences for my husband's 8th
grader. This is one of the last few times we'll be doing this as he's
the youngest and headed off to high school next year. I expect good
things during the conference and will surprise him with his favorite
treat "du jour" a Toblerone chocolate bar. (Don't ask me how he got
into that, but he's been totally into them lately.)
He's
a teenage boy, so too cute or sappy is not his style, but a simple gift
tag on the bar telling him how proud I am of him will do the trick. And
as St. Patrick's Day is this weekend, its a perfect theme.
| Art Philosophy cart. Tag cut on my Gypsy at 4.33" |
| CTMH Artiste Collection Kudos stamp set, Memento inks in Dandelion, New Sprout, and Cottage Ivy. Black StazOn ink. Gold thread, DMC. Ribbon, coated cardstock and gold paper all from scraps. |
Just
a word about my messed up stamp phrase. As this is chrome coat paper, I
needed to stamp the sentiment with permanent ink. And I wanted a nice,
deep black to stand out from the other ink colors. Well, when I
stamped away, the ink actually was very sticky, and lifted the whole
card up, providing an uneven impression. Arrrgghh! I had no choice but
to stamp it again. Its certainly not perfect, but I thought for this
use... good enough to do the trick. I think its time to replace my
StazOn though!
Heart 2 Heart: Go Green!
This is my second entry this month at the Heart 2 Heart Challenge blog. My goal is to play along with all 4 challenges for the month. Check my entry for last week here. These entries mark the first time I've ever participated in their challenges which enters me into their March Madness prize contest - how fun is that?! Go on over to check them out - you won't be disappointed, and maybe you'll play along too.
Thanks for stopping by. I love any and all comments too!
