I thought I'd try my hand at something a little different and do a scrapbook page. I'm not much of a scrapper, but I love this photo snapped poolside of my handsome husband and wanted to profile it in my office somehow.
I have the toughest time with light and capturing accurate colors! Honestly these were all the colors from the challenge, not peach, brown, and lime green! |
Grunge board hinges are combos of Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters & Vintage Photo Distress Inks. Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Bronze. |
I gesso'd my grungeboard pieces and then inked them up so they'd take the colors more "true." |
Pin says "Keepsake." So fitting for my feelings about the photo subject! |
As you can tell I went all kinds of happy using Tim Holtz products. I've had these sprockets and game spinners forever, just now using them! |
The paper was much more pinky-red, so I used a direct-to-paper approach with distress inks and Pearl Poppy Memento ink. Photo edited in PSE9 and Perfect Effects 3. |
I didn't use a sketch or anything for this layout -and I didn't even use my cricut! I can hardly believe I accomplished this without either one. But I've hoarded these TH products for such a long time, it was so much fun to put it all on one project!
I'm not sure how effective the design here is, but I had fun all the same and will happily put this up in a frame above my desk.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!
